Ty'n y Cornel hotel in Snowdonia 'still trading'

Administrators say they are hopeful of finding a buyer for a Snowdonia hotel.

They have been called in to take-over the running of the Ty'n y Cornel hotel, which sits on the Tal-y-Llyn lake between Dolgellau and Machynlleth.

Officials say the hotel will continue to trade while it is put up for sale, and is fully booked for the Easter.

The 22-bedroom hotel currently employs 13 staff and has an international reputation for its brown trout fishing in the neighbour lake.

Claire Middlebrook, from administrators Henderson Loggi, said: "We are hopeful that the business will be sold as a going concern and we have already been approached by interested parties."

She said the hotel was fully booked for the Easter period and would continue trading.

The hotel has an annual turnover of about £1m, and recently played host to the Commonwealth fly fishing championships.
