Penmaenmawr man David Turley, 54, remains critical

Police say they are continuing to hold and question two men in connection with an incident that has left a man from Penmaenmawr in a critical condition.

David Turley, 54, is being treated at Ysbyty Gwynedd, after a disturbance at Llanerch-y-Mor in Penmaenmawr, Conwy, on Wednesday night.

Magistrates in Llandudno have given police more time to question two men, aged 21 and 28.

A woman also arrested over the incident has been released on bail.

A house in the close was still cordoned off by police on Friday.

Det Chf Insp Steve Williams, leading the investigation, said: "The victim remains in Ysbyty Gwynedd in a critical condition. His family is being supported by specially trained police officers.

"Three persons have been arrested in connection with the offence and two of these remain in custody. Officers are continuing with their investigation and are making further enquiries."
