Two men rescued from airbed by lifeboat near Rhyl

Two men have been rescued by a lifeboat crew after drifting out to sea on an airbed in Denbighshire.

Members of the public raised the alarm on Sunday afternoon after their inflatable was spotted out at sea near Rhyl.

Both men were said to be very cold when rescued, with one showing signs of hypothermia.

They were checked out by an ambulance crew but declined hospital treatment.

The men were taken on board by the inshore lifeboat after being in the water for around half an hour.

The RNLI said the men told them they were not aware of tidal conditions.
