Blaenavon pub landlord Jason Powell tribute after crash

Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died in a collision involving a car and van in Torfaen.

The family of pub landlord Jason Powell, 45, from Blaenavon, said he was a "loveable rogue" who would be "dearly missed".

Mr Powell, known as "Pow", died after a crash on Varteg Road, Blaenavon, on Friday afternoon.

The road was closed for several hours to allow police to start their investigation.

Mr Powell's family said in a statement issued through Gwent Police: "Pow will be dearly missed as a friend to the locals, as a husband to Natalie, a Dad to Nischa and devoted Bampi to Bailey

"Pow was a loveable rogue and loved by everyone as the landlord of the Queen Vic, Blaenavon."

No-one else was hurt in the crash but the woman driving the car was taken to hospital as a precaution.
