Fishguard gorse fire close to homes put out by crews

Fire crews spent much of the night dealing with a gorse fire close to homes at Fishguard in Pembrokeshire.

The blaze spread across one hectare, getting close to properties before being brought under control.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said five fire engines and a water carrier from Pembroke Dock were called out.

The incident began at about 2000 BST on Thursday, and crews left the scene at 0330 BST on Friday.
