Cash machines targeted in Corwen post office raid

Police are investigating whether money was taken from two cash machines during a post office raid in Denbighshire.

The break-in at Corwen post office took place in the early hours and officers are appealing for witnesses and information.

It is believed an attempt was made to take money from cash machines but it is not yet known whether money or other items were taken.

Police are carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

Anyone in the High Street area during the early hours of Tuesday is asked to contact police at Corwen on 101 (if in Wales), 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) or 0845 6071002 (English language line).
