A Newport man has been arrested in Belgium on suspicion of murdering 48-year-old Richard Carslake, say Gwent Police.

Mr Carslake was found dead in a flat on Jeddo Street, Pill, Newport on 6 April.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Antwerp, and Gwent Police say they are organising his extradition.

A 19-year-old man from Pontypool, Torfaen, has previously appeared in court charged with Mr Carslake's murder.

Gwent Police said their officers had worked closely with the Belgian federal police.
