Teenager killed in crash in Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff

A 19-year-old woman has died after the car she was driving crashed into a bridge parapet in Cardiff.

South Wales Police said the crash happened at the Culverhouse Cross interchange at around 2140 BST on Wednesday.

The driver of the black '08' registered Mini was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two male passengers are being treated in hospital in Cardiff. The extent of their injuries is not known. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Police said the Mini was being driven on the A4232 northbound carriageway at the time of the crash.

The road was closed for approximately four hours while police investigated.

The woman's next-of-kin and the coroner have been informed.

Police want to talk to anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car just before the collision.
