Motorcyclist and cyclist die in north Wales collisions

A motorcyclist and a cyclist have died in separate incidents in north Wales.

A 28-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a car at Kinnerton, Flintshire at 12:22 BST on Saturday.

And a male cyclist died in a collision on the A487 between Cross Foxes and Tal y Llyn, near Dolgellau in Gwynedd at 10:03 BST on Sunday.

North Wales Police appealed for witnesses to contact the roads policing unit on 101 or 0845 6071001 (Welsh line) or 0845 6071002 (English line).

The motorcyclist, who was from the area, was in collision with a black Renault Clio as he rode his green Suzuki machine on Kinnerton Lane, officers said.

He was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The car driver was not injured.

In the second collision near Dolgellau, the cyclist, who lived locally, died at the scene.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved, police said.

A full investigation has taken place and the road was reopened at 1345 BST.
