Four rescued after blaze on boat off Nefyn, Gwynedd

Two adults and two children were rescued after their small boat caught fire off the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd.

The Porthdinllaen lifeboat was launched when a member of the public saw the blaze from the shore and raised the alarm at 18:00 BST on Monday.

The outboard motor of the boat was alight and an oar lost in the incident, off Nefyn.

The four were taken aboard the lifeboat uninjured and their boat was towed back to Porthdinllaen.

They were said to be wearing life jackets but had no radio.
