Cwmbran murder: Woman arrested by Gwent Police

A woman has been arrested over the murder of a man whose body was found at a property in south Wales.

Gwent Police said it was called to a house on Harold Street, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, at 15:45 BST on Tuesday by a concerned neighbour.

Officers forced an entry and found a man dead in the house. He has not yet been formally identified.

A 26-year-old woman from the Cwmbran area was arrested and remains in custody for questioning.

Anyone with any information that could assist the investigation is asked to call Gwent Police.

Police said the cause of death was yet to be established.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said it sent one ambulance to the scene after being alerted by Gwent Police at 16:29 BST.
