Cyclist critical after collision on B4434 at Aberdulais

A cyclist is critically ill after a collision with a car in the Neath Valley.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 47-year-old local man collided with a Blue Jaguar X-Type at about 17:00 BST on Friday on the B4434 Dulais Fach Road near Aberdulais.

The cyclist is critical but stable with head injuries at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff.

The Jaguar was driven by a local woman, said police.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was travelling along the B4434 or the A465 at Aberdulais at the time.

They also want to trace anyone who stopped to help.

The carriageway was closed for about three hours.
