Teenager killed as car hits tree at Brackla, Bridgend

A teenager has been killed after his car crashed into a tree in Bridgend.

The silver Vauxhall Corsa left the road near Coychurch crematorium at around 17:45 BST on Saturday.

The 17-year-old, who lived locally, was the only person in the car and police have appealed for witnesses or anyone who saw the car before the crash to get in touch.

Heol Simonston in Brackla was closed for five hours after the incident.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the car was travelling from Brackla towards Coychurch when the crash happened.
