Man's river rescue at back of Tumble Inn, Pontypridd

Rescue teams pulled a man from a river at the back of a pub in Pontypridd after he fell 30ft (9m) late on Friday.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident behind The Tumble Inn at just after 23:17 GMT following reports from police that a man was in the water.

He was rescued by crews using a boat then treated by paramedics.

A fire service spokesperson said that he had suffered a back injury and was taken to hospital.
