Body of man found in quarry at Llanymynech, Powys
The body of a 57-year-old man has been found in a quarry in Powys.
Police said they were not currently treating the incident as suspicious but did not know exactly when he died.
The man, who is from Oswestry and yet to be named, was found on Sunday morning at Llanymynech near the Shropshire border.
Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating and asking anyone with information to come forward. The coroner has been informed.
"There is nothing at this stage to indicate any suspicious circumstances," said Det Ch Insp Greg Williams.
"The body was found on Sunday morning, but we don't yet know exactly when he died and our inquiries continue to investigate his movements over the weekend.
"If anyone was out walking in the area on Saturday or may have seen something that can help with our inquiries, please contact police at Welshpool police station on 101."
