Normal rail service between Cardiff and Bridgend after delays

Normal service has resumed on the south Wales main line between Cardiff and Bridgend after passengers faced delays due to over-running engineering works.

First Great Western services were disrupted on Monday morning, adding up to 30 minutes to journeys.

Arriva Trains Wales services via Pencoed were replaced by buses, which extended journey times by 20 minutes.

Trains between Maesteg and Cardiff Central had been terminating at Bridgend.
