Elderly woman airlifted to hospital after Rhondda crash

A woman has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after a crash in Porth, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The 75-year-old passenger was cut from a Ford Fiesta after the car and a commercial tipper van collided in Ynyshir Road at 12:33 BST.

She was airlifted to Royal Glamorgan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, 81, sustained minor injuries and Police reopened the road at 14:25 BST.
