Man's body found on Snowdon after RAF and Llanberis rescue search

The body of a man has been found on Snowdon by rescue teams searching for a 24-year-old walker.

Concerns had been raised about the man, who was walking alone and had not returned when he said he would.

An RAF helicopter and 41 members of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team began a search for the man from Cheshire at 22:00 BST on Tuesday.

The body was found on Wednesday after the search resumed at 08:00 BST. It is thought the man had fallen.
