Landfill tax rises prompt fly-tipping concern
There will be fly-tipping on an industrial scale say waste companies in south east Wales, following new landfill tax rules.
Skip hire firms say increases in charges from £20 to over £500 have made it more expensive to bury waste and will put off customers.
Companies in the area are considering protesting over the issue with some saying they face closure.
The UK government says the change has partly come about as some firms were not paying the right rate of tax.
