A48 Carmarthen: Three crashes on stretch of road

Four people were injured in three crashes on a stretch of the A48 near Carmarthen in under two hours.

Three people were taken to hospital after the first collision between three vehicles eastbound near the Pensarn roundabout at 17:20 GMT.

One person was hurt when two cars collided a short distance away at 18:30 GMT. And two other cars crashed at 18:40 GMT but nobody was injured.

The fire service said the weather could have contributed to the collisions.

The incidents happened along an 800m stretch of the carriageway, according to the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
