Help

The children's commissioner has told BBC Wales he's frustrated at the slow progress being made in tackling unlawful exclusions from schools.

Keith Towler says the Welsh government should be applauded for carrying out research into unlawful exclusions in 2011.

A Welsh government spokesperson said it was "imperative" that schools and local authorities follow the correct procedures for exclusions. It was expecting the results of research on the issue of exclusions to be published later this year.

BBC Wales' education correspondent, Arwyn Jones, has more details.
