Merthyr Tydfil pedestrian seriously injured by car

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident with a car in Merthyr Tydfil.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver Ford KA was involved in the collision on the A465 at Pant just after 22:00 GMT on Wednesday.

The woman is being treated at Prince Charles Hospital for serious head and leg injuries.

South Wales Police would like anyone who saw the pedestrian or the KA being driven along the A465 to contact them.

The force said witnesses can call the roads policing unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence number 62130061072.
