Met Office predicts heavy rain in mid and south west Wales

Forecasters are predicting heavy rain which could result in localised flooding in parts of mid and south west Wales.

The Met Office warned of heavy, thundery showers which could be intense at times in Powys, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.

The downpours could also cause flooding on roads, in drains, ditches and small streams.

Motorists are advised to take extra care as conditions could be difficult.

People are also advised to monitor local weather reports and news bulletins for the latest information in their area.

The Natural Resources flood line is available on 0845 988 1188.
