Two climbers have been rescued after becoming stuck on cliffs on Anglesey.

Coastguards from Cemaes and Holyhead were called at 22:00 BST on Wednesday, after the climbers ran into difficulty on Holyhead Mountain, Gogarth.

A rescue helicopter also attended from RAF Valley.

Coastguards said two climbers had become separated from colleagues in thick fog, but were found by rescue teams. One had a sprained ankle and was seen by paramedics.

Coastguards say the climbers were "victims of unfortunate circumstances".
