Storm waves swamp people in Aberystwyth street

4 November 2013 Last updated at 15:55 GMT

People walking along Aberystwyth's seafront had to brave giant waves breaking over the promenade.

The seafront of the west Wales town was damaged, with tonnes of shingle thrown onto the street after it was hit by storms over the weekend.

Weiqiang Liang, a student at Aberystwyth University, shot footage from his window of the waves soaking passers-by and posted it on social media websites.
