The paedophile singer of Welsh rock band Lostprophets has been sentenced to 35 years for a series of depraved child sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby.

Ian Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences at Cardiff Crown Court in November.

The officer whose team brought him to justice said Watkins has shown no remorse for his crimes.

South Wales Police Det Ch Insp Peter Doyle said he believes more of his victims have yet to be found both in the UK and overseas.
