Dozens of celebrities have drawn on their artistic nature to help a Cardiff-based homeless charity.

Llamau left pens and paper in the dressing rooms of stars performing in the city and also asked others from the world of sport and entertainment to send in sketches of their homes.

Eddie Izzard, The Killers, John Bishop and Elvis Costello are among 70 stars who contributed drawings.

The sketches, many signed, will be auctioned later.

Hugh Russell, fund-raising coordinator, said "Illustrating Homelessness" brought a wide variety of interpretations.

"It started as an idea two and a half years ago and we've been collecting them ever since," said Hugh.

"Bags with paper and pens were left in dressing rooms in places like the Motorpoint Arena and we hoped celebrities might have some spare time before their shows to help us.

"Many of them did leave us sketches - although some are obviously better comedians than artists."

The auction will take place at a Cardiff's Hilton hotel on Tuesday evening.
