The rugby community across the world has been rallying behind Owen Williams, the 22-year-old-year old Cardiff Blues and Wales centre who suffered a serious spinal injury playing in a 10s tournament with the Blues in Singapore in June.

After initial surgery in the far east he is now receiving specialist care in Cardiff.

He used social media on the weekend to thank his many well-wishers with a photo of him on his hospital bed with his dog Riley.

Sonja McLaughlan, of BBC Sport, has been speaking to Owen's older brother Gavin.

He told her about the support Owen and the family have received since the injury.
