Nato leaders were given a taste of Wales at two events in Newport and Cardiff on Thursday night.

First they mingled with guests from all walks of Welsh life, hosted by Prince Charles, at the Celtic Manor.

They were also welcomed by First Minister Carwyn Jones and Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb.

On the reception's menu were classic dishes such as Welsh rarebit, cured Welsh salmon and beer brewed in Wales.

A formal dinner followed at Cardiff Castle.
