Yellow 'be aware' weather warning issued for parts of Wales

A yellow "be aware" warning for ice and snow has been issued for parts of Wales.

The Met Office said the snow will be chiefly seen over higher ground but said it could fall on lower levels.

Heavy, wintry showers are expected overnight Monday and into Tuesday, with up to 3cm (1.1ins) expected.

The snow is expected after a cold westerly flow originated over Canada, bringing a mix of sleet and hail showers to the UK.
