Research centres across Wales set for £18m investment
Major health and social care research projects are set to benefit from £18m of Welsh government investment.
The three-year package of funding will be invested in eight dedicated research centres and units across Wales in areas including cancer and mental health.
Deputy Health Minister Vaughan Gething will announce the funding on Thursday.
He will also unveil plans to restructure Health and Care Research Wales, the body which develops research and social care policy.
Mr Gething said the investment will fund "vital, high quality research" needed to achieve "better health and social care for everyone in Wales".
