Motorcyclist 'very serious' after Powys road crash

A motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after his bike was in collision with a car in Powys.

The crash happened on the A458 on the Cefn Bridge in Trewern, near Welshpool, on Sunday at about 1200 BST.

The motorcyclist, who is from the West Midlands, was airlifted to hospital, and is in a "very serious" condition. The car driver escaped injury.

Dyfed-Powys Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.

In particular, they are keen to trace the driver of a silver car who was travelling behind the motorcycle when the incident occurred.
