Two from Wrexham arrested over Welshpool store burglary

Two men from the Wrexham area have been arrested for an alleged burglary in the early hours at a store in Powys, say police.

Officers said they were alerted by security guards working for Coed y Dinas, part of the Charlie's Stores group, in Welshpool at 0025 BST.

The men, aged 29 and 23, were arrested and are in custody, said Dyfed-Powys Police.

Detectives are appealing for information about the incident.

Det Insp Diane Davies said: "I would urge members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity."
