Funeral of lake crash victim takes place at Aberystwyth
The funeral of one of the two teenagers killed in a road crash in Ceredigion last week has taken place in Aberystwyth.
Jai Burkes, 18, died with Anwen Busby, who was 16, when a car they were in rolled down an embankment and landed in 4ft (1.2m) of water.
The incident happened on the A44 between Aberystwyth and Ponterwyd in the early hours of 31 August.
A man, 21, who was arrested and released on bail, is still in hospital.
Mr Burkes' coffin was carried in a horse drawn carriage to Aberystwyth crematorium where a service took place.
The funeral of Anwen Busby has not yet taken place.
Last week, Mr Burkes' grandfather Lenny said his grandson had turned his life around, and had just got a job at a car recovery business after completing a course at college.
Three other people, including two teenagers, were also hurt in the crash.
Ashley Williams, Mr Burkes' best friend, is believed to have been driving the car.
