Fatal A483 crash: inquest opens into death of boy, 5

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a five-year-old boy who died in a road crash in Powys.

Bailey Thomas Alan Evans, from Llanwnog, Caersws, was injured in a two-vehicle collision on the A483 about one mile north of Welshpool.

Three other people were injured in the incident at 1725 BST on Saturday.

The vehicles involved were a gold Citroen Saxo and a red Nissan Qashqai. Police are appealing for witnesses.

One person was airlifted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by air ambulance, and two others were transported in a road ambulance.
