Cyclist dies in minibus collision on A483

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was killed in a collision with a minibus on the A483 between Llandovery and Llanwrtyd Wells early on Saturday.

It happened about one mile south of the village of Cynghordy on the A483 road at about 0705 BST.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the male pedal cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for some time for investigations but has since reopened.

Officers said they would like to speak to anyone who travelled along the A483 who may recall seeing a white LDV Van travelling towards Llanwrtyd Wells or a cyclist with dreadlock hair wearing green camouflage clothes and who was cycling towards Llandovery.

Witness should contact the Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 08453302000 or 101.
