Couple rescued from River Teifi near St Dogmaels

A couple in their 60s were rescued from the River Teifi near St Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire.

Milford Haven Coastguard say the couple had gone to check the moorings when a female fell into the water at about 10:25 GMT before a male then jumped in.

They were in the water about a mile from the old bridge in Cardigan for about 20 minutes and were not wearing life jackets.

Both were checked by paramedics but were not injured.
