Missing Patricia 'Trish' Evans from Llandefalle found safe

A 71-year-old woman with dementia who was reported missing has been found safe and well.

Patricia Ann Evans disappeared after leaving her home in Llandefalle near Brecon, Powys, to walk her dog at about 15:00 GMT on Sunday.

Following a search by police and members of the public, Mrs Evans was found on Monday morning just outside the village of Bronllys.

Dyfed-Powys Police thanked the public for their help in finding Mrs Evans.

Mrs Evans, who was described as partially sighted, is being given medical attention.

Insp Stuart Eckley said she was found about a mile from her home, adding: "Thankfully Mrs Evans appears to be well after her ordeal and is now being looked over by medical staff.

"I'd like to thank members of the public who have helped in our search for Mrs Evans, and in particular the person who found her."
