Fire crews tackle cottage blaze in Llanerfyl, Powys

About 20 fire fighters have tackled a blaze at a cottage in Powys.

The alarm was raised in Llanerfyl, near Welshpool, on Wednesday shortly after 19:00 GMT.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said there were no injuries and no idea yet how the fire started.

The blaze was on first floor of the detached cottage and crews from Llanfair Caereinion, Llanfyllin and two from Welshpool were called to the scene. No other homes were affected.
