A483 crash: Three hurt at Howey, between Builth and Llandrindod Wells in Powys

Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving two cars on the A483 in Powys.

Fire crews were called to the scene near Howey, between Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells, at 13:50 GMT on Friday.

Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to free the injured people from the wreckage, before they were taken to hospital by ambulance and helicopter.

The scene was made safe by 15:25 GMT, although traffic was still affected.
