Cardigan house fire: Two people rescued in Rhosygilwen

Two people have been rescued after fire broke out at a house near Cardigan.

A third person managed to escape from the property at Rhosygilwen, near Rhos-hill, during the blaze at 03:30 GMT on Wednesday.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said a man and a woman were rescued from a first floor bedroom along with a number of pets.

The property was being renovated and the fire is believed to have started in a biomass boiler on the first floor.

Firefighters from Crymych and Cardigan attended the blaze.
