Tregaron boy airlifted after road collision

An boy has been airlifted to hospital after he collided with a vehicle on a crossing outside a school in Ceredigion.

The child, believed to be a Year 8 pupil at Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron, was flown to Morriston Hospital in Swansea, with what the Welsh Ambulance Service said were serious injuries.

The incident happened at 11:00 BST on Lampeter Road in Tregaron.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the road outside the school had been closed.

Ceredigion council confirmed that a Year 8 pupil was in collision with a car on a crossing outside Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron on Wednesday morning.

There are no details about his condition.
