Police who appealed for information after a motorist offered two school pupils in Ceredigion a lift say the man has been traced and the matter solved.

The man, who lives locally in the area of Penparc, near Cardigan, came forward after publicity surrounding the incident earlier this month.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the offer of a lift was made with "good intention" as the driver recognised the children.

The children's mother and Penparc school have been informed.
