New specialist clinic for Cardigan hospital
A new clinic is starting at Cardigan hospital run by visiting specialists from a neighbouring health board.
The three-monthly motor neurone disease clinic will offer a community-based service to help people manage symptoms of the condition.
Hywel Dda Health Board said the clinic was an example of the kind of services which would be available once a new health centre for Cardigan opens.
Building work on the centre is due to begin in April.
Visiting specialists from Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board will operate the clinic.
In March, Cardigan hospital stopped treating inpatients at the site despite an 11,000-name petition given to the Welsh assembly in January.
