Closure of Montgomery's last bank criticised
A decision to close the last remaining bank in a Powys town has been criticised.
NatWest will close its branch on Friday meaning the nearest bank is in Welshpool or Newtown up to nine miles away.
However, the Post Office will carry out a range of NatWest transactions.
Montgomeryshire MP Glyn Davies said the decision was "frustrating and disappointing".
A NatWest spokesman said it had no choice but to close the branch after a "substantial drop in usage".
