Ice alert as temperature dips to -8C in Wales

Temperatures have fallen to -8C in Sennybridge, Powys, amid warning icy conditions could cause disruption to travel across Wales.

Weather forecasters have said temperatures could reach -5C in eastern parts of Wales on Monday night.

The Met Office issued a yellow "be aware" weather warning for ice and elsewhere, temperatures dipped to -12C in Scotland.

North Wales Police also warned drivers about icy conditions on rural roads.
