Investigation into death of Cpl Joshua Hoole in Brecon continues

Police are continuing their investigation into the unexplained death of a soldier in Brecon.

Cpl Joshua Hoole, 26, of Ecclefechan, near Lockerbie, died on pre-course training for the Platoon Sergeants' Battle Course at an infantry training centre on Tuesday 19 July.

He was a member of the Rifles regiment at ITC Catterick.

A post mortem examination was carried out on Friday and the results are expected in late September.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "Police will evaluate the results along with all other information available through the investigation. An inquest will not be opened at this time."

Cpl Hoole's family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
