Welsh Water is investing £300,000 to improve the quality of bathing water in Aberarth, Ceredigion.

Work to install a new outfall pipe, which will improve the performance of the waste water network in the area, started on Monday.

The company says it will reduce the risk of flooding and pollution entering Cardigan Bay.

The project is expected to be finished by mid-September.
