Man 'serious' as police appeal on Wrexham street fight

A 19-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found by a roadside in Wrexham.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to a fight between two men on Berse Road at around 0430 BST on Sunday.

An ambulance crew was called at 0445 BST, close to the B&Q store.

The injured man was taken to the nearby Wrexham Maelor Hospital and later transferred to Walton hospital, Liverpool. A man, 20, has been arrested.

He is being questioned at Wrexham police station on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed two men fighting on Berse Road or nearby Rhyd Broughton Lane.

They also want to speak to the driver of white transit van, who may be a witness, who was driving from the Mold Road roundabout.
