Police appeal after cat is shot in eye in Flintshire

Police are appealing for information after a cat was shot in the eye in Flintshire.

The cat was found slumped on the ground in Llanfynydd and a vet confirmed it had been shot at close range, probably with an air rifle.

It could lose the sight in its eye after the incident between 1830 and 2330 BST on Thursday 2 September.

Insp Martin Best called it a "particularly cruel and nasty" incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 2239 Darren Jones on 101, if in Wales, or 0845 6071001 (Welsh language) or 0845 6071002 (English).
